The kitchen diner is a large room in an equally large apartment in a converted library. Whilst the layout worked well, the brief was to modernise the space to reflect the homeowner’s aesthetic and love of colour. The cabinetry was changed and replaced with large olive green drawers and cupboards with accents of brass, also in the sink and taps. The room has high ceiling and was painted in little Greene light gold which adds warmth and reflective element to the room. The walls are in farrow and ball slipper satin. Floating wooden shelves add texture to the wall and compliment the maple wood floor which was re-sanded and sealed with matt oil. The honeycomb tiles were laid horizontally to make the space look wider and finished with dark grey grout
